YOUNGDUBSTUDiOS did not begin as a business plan or a polished brand strategy. It began in a much more human place — in a season of uncertainty, fear, and too much time to think.

When his father got sick, life shifted. The rhythm of home changed. There was more silence, more waiting, and more time on his hands than he knew what to do with. In that space, he got a computer and started creating. What may have looked like a simple decision from the outside became something much bigger behind the scenes. That computer became an outlet. A distraction. A lifeline. It gave him somewhere to put his mind when life felt heavy, and somewhere to pour feelings that did not always have words.

He came from a family built on loyalty, work ethic, and showing up. His mother worked at Cornell for 44 years. His father gave 38 years working as a nurse at the hospital. That kind of example leaves a mark on a person. It teaches consistency. Sacrifice. It teaches what it means to keep going, even when life is not easy. Those values became part of the foundation of who he is, even as his own path took a more creative and unconventional shape.

Long before YOUNGDUBSTUDiOS became a name, art had already taken hold. In his family, there was a tradition: each week, every family member would choose an activity for one night together. His choice was always art. Again and again, that was the thing he picked. The family would sit down and make art together, and without realizing it at the time, those nights were planting seeds. Raised in New York, shaped by both struggle and love, he grew up with deep roots in Lansing and Ithaca. Those places are part of his identity, just like the family that raised him, the losses that changed him, and the experiences that sharpened him. His life did not move in a straight line, and neither did his artistry. But that is exactly why the work feels the way it does. It comes from somebody who understands that beauty and damage can exist in the same frame. That pain can produce vision. That chaos can become style.

Under the name YOUNGDUB, he found his voice not only as a visual artist, but as a creator in the fullest sense. Music, design, branding, visuals, merch, storytelling — all of it became part of the same larger mission: to build his own reality through art. Not to imitate. Not to chase trends.
